Dear Trevor Here's the December message. John Thie DEAR FRIENDS, This has been a blessed year for Carrie and me. We have had our grandson living with us and have had all the pleasures of having a high school student with all the needs and excitements. He was on the Varsity Swimming team and Varsity Water Polo team at Malibu High School. The Water Polo team won the league championship. He has made tremendous improvements during the year which was his first in both swimming and water polo. We have been blessed with a team of people helping create a new way of learning Touch for Health. We will be introducing it next year. Our health has been good for our age group and we have enjoyed many visits with friends. We especially enjoyed the time we spent in Germany and Switzerland this last Summer. Thanks to all of you who we saw on this trip. May you all have a wonderful Holiday Season and 2001. May God bless all of you with joy, happiness and prosperity. The following are two responses from the previous news letter. Response to my request for cases of childhood ear problems In the last issue of To Your Health I asked for response about childhood ear problems using used effectively to help people improve their posture and general health and various alternatives to antibiotic therapy and surgery. What follows are two letters of response. We do not receive many responses from our Email newsletter, but I’d like to share these with you regarding the "Otitis media" article in November 2000 #2. The first is from Bruce Dewe. Bruce is a Medical Doctor from New Zealand who was the Chairman of the Touch for Health faculty and on the Touch for Health Trustees before we closed the Touch for Health Foundation. He is now the developer of the Professional Kinesiology Practitioner (PKP) program, which has been approved as a professional course in New Zealand. He teaches with his wife Joan all over the world. Thanks Bruce and Joan for all your help in sharing Touch for Health around the world. John Thie DC Dear John, Thanks for your newsletter. My experience with Otitis media is similar to yours. When in Practice I used the Lymph Drainage technique taught in PKP III and children rarely tested for Antibiotics. Since using the GNLD products (after retiring from practice) I have found that Vitagard and Neo-C taken daily reduce the need for Antibiotics even in children that were almost continually on them. I like these two products because they are FOOD concentrates of organic food. We have many cases of children 'on the list' for grommets becoming symptom-free quite quickly and avoiding surgery. Best regards, Bruce. Hi John: I do have a story I'd like to share about my son David and his need for ear surgery. In 1976, David was 5 years old and intermittently deaf because of persistent fluid in his ears. I took him to an ENT and after conventional but unsuccessful treatment, "tubes-in-the-ears" surgery was scheduled in three weeks. At the same time, someone recommended a chiropractor, Dr. Richard Parlee. I had never been to a chiropractor, but I took my son to Dr. Parlee who said, "don't cancel surgery, but let me see what I can do in the three weeks before surgery." He did surrogate muscle checking on David through me, chiropractic manipulation and acupressure. Based on information from the muscle check he eliminated sugar and wheat from David's diet. In three weeks we went in for our pre-surgery appointment and after checking his ears, the ENT looked directly at me and said, "What have you done? There is no fluid in these ears! We need to cancel the surgery!" I said, "I took David to a chiropractor." Looking piercingly into my eyes, he said, "There is no way a Chiropractor could have gotten rid of the chronic fluid in these ears!" Lowering his eyes, he continued to say, "but if it were my son, I'd keep on going." We did! Marilyn Bouchard Lugaro |
