Hap & Elizabeth Barhydt (PhD's) USA Elizabeth Barhydt, PhD, MT, & Hamilton "Hap" Barhydt, PhD The story of Elizabeth and Hap Barhydt begins in 1978 at Cornucopia in Kentucky, the Ken Keyes' Center for Consciousness Growth (most recently in Coos Bay, Oregon, now closed with Ken's passing). After extended stays as staff apprentices, they chose to share their future path together following Ken Keyes' Living Love concepts for personal growth through love and sharing. Settling in Los Angeles, they opened the Loving Life center (a non-profit corporation) to continue this work. Becoming interested in alternative healing modalities, they first studied the basic fundamentals of energy healing at the Healing Light Center, founded by Rosalyn Bruyere. Next they moved on to an extended study of the Touch for Health Synthesis, starting with Touch for Health, developed by Dr. John Thie DC. Elizabeth received a Massage Therapist certificate from the Santa Monica School of Massage, Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in health services from Columbia Pacific University, and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in transpersonal psychology from Westbrook University. Hap received a Bachelor of Science degree in physics from Yale University and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in engineering physics from Cornell University. After Hap took an early retirement from his position as Senior Scientist at Hughes Aircraft Company, they spent the next 7 years living full time in their 25-foot motorhome developing and demonstrating their Self-Help Energy Balancing techniques throughout the USA. Needing a place to store and distribute their books, Elizabeth and Hap established a home base in the Sierra Nevada foothills 20 miles from the gates of Yosemite National Park. They now live in the Reno, Nevada, area, a pleasant mixture of mountain and desert wilderness and urban amenities. The Barhydts schedule lectures, demonstrations, and workshops worldwide by request. Over 20 years of experience in energy balancing and related modalities. They have published 3 books describing their unique techniques (including the "Five Finger Quick Fix" and the "Reactive Muscle Basic Balance") and have taught their self-help techniques in over 12 countries.
